Wedge Wire Screen Basket Working Principle:

Pulp Slurry enters screen from top or side, directed onto rotating screen basket surface. The slotted screen basket is mounted vertically and rotates at a consistent speed. Centrifugal force created by screen rotor’s circular velocity pushes pulp against screen basket surface during slurry entry.

The slotted screen basket contains slots with specific width as per operational need. These slots are designed to allow desired sized-fibers to pass through while retaining oversized fibers, sand, metal pieces, and other unwanted materials.
